Salami and Tomato Sauce

- 1/2 lb salami, cut in strips shopping list
- 1 16 oz can tomato puree shopping list
- 1 medium onion, sliced shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced shopping list
- 1 Tbsp olive oil shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
- Add olive oil. When hot add onions and garlic and cook until tender (try not to brown, it changes the flavor).
- Add salami and cook about 2 minutes, then add the tomatoes, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then lower hear and simmer uncovered 20 minutes or until it is as thick as you like.
- Serve over your favorite pasta with lots of parmesan cheese.
