Biscuit Cake From Scotland

Ingredients
- 1 lb. milk chocolate shopping list
- 1/2 lb. butter shopping list
- 1 lb. broken mixed biscuits, my Mother used Digestives, McVities, arrowroot, Sunwheat whatever cookies we had not finished. I have added Oreo cookies and vanilla wafers as well. shopping list
- 1/2 lb. walnuts, chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup maraschino cherries, drained and coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- Note: I have also added quartered miniature flavoured marshmallows to this recipe. shopping list
How to make it
- Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler, stirring to blend well.
- Mix the chocolate and butter in with the well broken biscuits, nuts, maraschino cherries and vanilla extract.
- Pour into a 10 x 15 inch baking dish, lined with parchment paper.
- Smooth to level the top and allow it to set.
- Cut into fingers about a finger in thickness.
