Ingredients
  • 1 bag Pasta (I prefer rigatoni but have used ziti)
  • 1 jar Spaghetti Sauce (I prefer chunky)
  • 1 pound Venison (optional - this can be meatless or you could use hamburger, turkey burger, or an italian sausage)
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 1 can Mushrooms, stems and pieces
  • 1 can Black Olives, pieces (optional )
  • 2 Tablespoons Garlic, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Pesto
  • 1 Tablspoon Oregano
  • 1 bag Shredded Cheese (I prefer an Italian Blend)

Directions
  1. Boil Pasta until Done. (Not too soggy)
  2. Brown Meat (if not using any, skip this step) and saute onions.
  3. Drain the pasta and put in a baking dish
  4. Pour the sauce over the top of pasta.
  5. Add meat/onions, mushrooms, olives, garlic, pesto, and oregano.
  6. Mix well, making sure to coat the pasta with the sauce and mix the other ingredients throughout the pasta.
  7. Cover with the shredded cheese.
  8. Cover and bake for 40 minutes or untl cheese is melted and pasta is steaming.

Sounds interesting and delicious! love the venison and pesto in this! I'd have to sub venison, I never saw it in stores before.

This was absolutely delicious!! Super easy and super cheap!! I must have left my brain at home when I went shopping for the stuff for this cause I forgot pesto (and didn't feel like making it for such a little amount) so I left that out, and I forgot the Italian cheese blend so I settled with some parm and cheddar which seems like a wierd mix but we were pleasantly surprised at how good they went together!! We served this with garlic bread, it was so good!

Love recipes like this! Never thought to add pesto (or venison). Will be trying!
