Italian Student Surprise

- 1 bag pasta (I prefer rigatoni but have used ziti) shopping list
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce (I prefer chunky) shopping list
- 1 pound venison (optional - this can be meatless or you could use hamburger, turkey burger, or an italian sausage) shopping list
- 1 small onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 can mushrooms, stems and pieces shopping list
- 1 can black olives, pieces (optional ) shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons garlic, minced shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons Pesto shopping list
- 1 Tablspoon oregano shopping list
- 1 bag Shredded cheese (I prefer an Italian Blend) shopping list
How to make it
- Boil Pasta until Done. (Not too soggy)
- Brown Meat (if not using any, skip this step) and saute onions.
- Drain the pasta and put in a baking dish
- Pour the sauce over the top of pasta.
- Add meat/onions, mushrooms, olives, garlic, pesto, and oregano.
- Mix well, making sure to coat the pasta with the sauce and mix the other ingredients throughout the pasta.
- Cover with the shredded cheese.
- Cover and bake for 40 minutes or untl cheese is melted and pasta is steaming.
