Ingredients

1 cup butter or margarine, softened

3/4 cup sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons instant coffee granules/crystals

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Semi-sweet chocolate, melted

Finely chopped pecans

Directions

Cream butter and sugar; beat in egg and vanilla

Stir together flour, coffee, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt; slowly blend into creamed mixture

Using star plate, force through cookie press in 3-inch strips on ungreased cookie sheet

Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 - 12 minutes

Cool. Dip one end of each cookie in chocolate then coat with nuts.

Makes 6 1/2 dozen.
