Ingredients

2 cups cake and pastry flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

3 tablespoons butter

3/4 cup milk, 2% or homogenized

2 cups Pure Canadian maple syrup

2 cups water

Directions

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

Cut in butter with pastry blender.

Add milk and mix well.

Combine maple syrup with water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Drop the dough in the hot maple syrup by the tablespoonful.

Cover and cook for 25 minutes.

Serve hot, pouring the syrup that they were cooked in, over top.
