How to make it

  • In your pan, sautee the onion in the butter until translucent
  • Remove from pan and place to the side in seperate bowl
  • Brown and render the ground beef in pan
  • Drain fat
  • Return onions to pan
  • Add all remaining ingredients (except the bread, of course..lol)
  • Simmer for about 20 minutes, or until it's the thickness you'd like
  • Slap it on your bread of choice
  • TRY not to eat it the whole pot! (so far, my husband has failed at this)

I did this a bit differently. I browned the ground beef, drained and put it and the rest of the ingredients (minus the butter) in a crockpot and cooked it on high for 2 hours. I've never had a Manwich before so I don't have anything to compare it to. I think I would have liked it better without the vinegar but it made a good dinner. I added a picture and a thread in IMI on 11/28/13.

LOL Awesome! I have a very high opinion of cheese, in particular, so it's welcome on almost everything. :o)
