- 3/4 cup raisins or cranberries (any dried fruit would prob be good) shopping list
- 2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- dash of ground cinnamon shopping list
- squirt of fresh lemon juice (not too much, think too much kills the yeast) shopping list
- powdered sugar shopping list
- oil for frying shopping list
How to make it
- Dissolve yeast in the warm milk
- mix flour, salt, cinnamon, lemon juice and egg together, then add milk yeast
- beat the crap out of it.
- let sit in warm place, covered for 30 mins
- beat it again, let sit for hour covered in warm place
- I use a little fry daddy, my mom uses a big pot, either way make the oil amount tall enough, like 2 inches high. oil should be over 300 deg but under 400.
- take 2 spoons make ball like shapes and fry away. Both sides should be a light golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar while still warm. Happy New Year!
