Bacon Tomato And Portobello Alfredo

- ALFREDO SAUCE: shopping list
- 1/2 cup sweet butter shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 2 cups heavy cream shopping list
- 1 T sour cream shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese shopping list
- bacon, TOMATO, N PORTOBELLO MIXTURE shopping list
- 1 lb portobello mushrooms shopping list
- 1-2 lbs bacon, cooked and cut into pieces shopping list
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced shopping list
- pasta shopping list
- linguine, angel hair pasta, etc. - your choice, cooked according to directions, drained and rinsed shopping list
- Parmesan for topping: shopping list
- fresh parsley or italian seasoning shopping list
How to make it
- PASTA
- Boil in well-salted water until al dente, drain and rinse
- while pasta is boiling
- Fry bacon and lay on towel to drain, crumble
- Chop tomatoes and set aside
- Sllice or chop and saute mushrooms in bacon drippings (or butter)
- ALFREDO SAUCE:
- Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium/low heat.
- Add the garlic, cream, sour cream, white pepper and bring mixture to a simmer.
- Stir often.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and simmer sauce for 8-10 minutes or until sauce has thickened and is smooth.
- When sauce has thickened add the Mozzarella cheese and stir until smooth. STIR FREQUENTLY
- Top pasta with sauce, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, and cheese
- Garnish with fresh parsley or italian seasoning
