Ingredients
  • ALFREDO SAUCE:
  • 1/2 cup sweet butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 T Sour Cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
  • BACON, TOMATO, N PORTOBELLO MIXTURE
  • 1 lb portobello mushrooms
  • 1-2 lbs bacon, cooked and cut into pieces
  • 2 roma tomatoes, diced
  • PASTA
  • Linguine, Angel Hair Pasta, etc. - your choice, cooked according to directions, drained and rinsed
  • Parmesan for topping:
  • Fresh parsley or italian seasoning

Directions
  1. PASTA
  2. Boil in well-salted water until al dente, drain and rinse
  3. while pasta is boiling
  4. Fry bacon and lay on towel to drain, crumble
  5. Chop tomatoes and set aside
  6. Sllice or chop and saute mushrooms in bacon drippings (or butter)
  7. ALFREDO SAUCE:
  8. Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium/low heat.
  9. Add the garlic, cream, sour cream, white pepper and bring mixture to a simmer.
  10. Stir often.
  11. Add the Parmesan cheese and simmer sauce for 8-10 minutes or until sauce has thickened and is smooth.
  12. When sauce has thickened add the Mozzarella cheese and stir until smooth. STIR FREQUENTLY
  13. Top pasta with sauce, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, and cheese
  14. Garnish with fresh parsley or italian seasoning

Had this the other day. The best Alfredo sauce I ever had, went perfect with those portobello mushrooms, bacon and tomatoes! There were no leftovers - everyone had cleaned their plates promptly!
