Ingredients
  • 1 loaf round unsliced sourdough bread
  • 2 (8 oz.) pkgs of cream cheese
  • 2 small cans of minced clams, drained
  • ½ cup clam juice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3-4 green onions, minced

Directions
  1. Slice top off bread to make a lid and set aside.
  2. Scoop out bread.
  3. Set scooped bread aside.
  4. Mix all remaining ingredients.
  5. Add to scooped out bread shell.
  6. Put lid back on.
  7. Wrap entire round in foil and bake 3 hours at 225 degrees.
  8. Dip scooped bread into dip and enjoy!.

Thanks for this post, conner! We did beef stew for Christmas dinner several years ago and served them in small bread bowls. It truly is a more "comforting" way of eating, isn't it? Anyway, enough of that... you got my five.

Gotta love those bread bowls for dips, etc - they soak up some of the goodness for you to enjoy at the END of the party! Love this dip, too - it is GOOD STUFF!!
