Whipped Amaretto Pie

- Crust shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter, melted shopping list
- Filling shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups ricotta cheese shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tbls. almond extract shopping list
- 1/4 cup amaretto liqueur shopping list
- 1 cup toasted almonds, ground shopping list
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, ground shopping list
- 1 cup heavy cream shopping list
- whipped cream to garnish shopping list
- Shaved chocolate to garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Crust
- Add all ingredients to mixing bowl and combine well
- Press into 9 or 10 inch pie plate and freeze while making filling
- Filling
- In mixing bowl, mix Ricotta and sugar until smooth
- Add almond extract and Amaretto and mix until blended
- Stir in almonds and chocolate chips
- In separate bowl, whip cream until stiff
- Gently fold into filling
- Freeze pie at least 3 hours before serving
- If frozen over night, set out for 30 minutes or 1 hour in fridge before serving
- Garnish with whipped cream and shaved chocolate
