Walnut Butter Cookies

WALNUT BUTTER COOKIES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ritchie Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1984.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 cup powered sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup butter at room temperature shopping list
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 300.
- Sift together flour, cornstarch and powdered sugar into large bowl.
- Add butter and mix well then stir in walnuts.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet and bake 20 minutes.

I made these today. They are GREAT! They are very tender, sweet and don't spread.. Basically a shortbread cookie with nuts. Excellent recipe. I think my god daughter and her family will really like these.
