If you ask me, allrecipes made out very well when Cyndi submitted this recipe for Margarita Pie! No "cook" time here but there is a "chill" time of 30 minutes.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 cups pretzels, crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 limes, zested and juiced
  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions
  1. In a medium bowl combine crushed pretzels, melted butter and sugar.
  2. Press mixture onto bottom of pie pan (no size given)
  3. In large bowl mix together lime juice, lime zest, tequila, orange juice and sweetened condensed milk.
  4. Fold in whipped topping.
  5. Spoon filling into pretzel crust.
  6. Chill pie for25 to 30 minutes

I love the idea of "SALTED" pretzels which give this recipe that key salt on the rim flavor every margarita has.

Egads! Stay away for a couple of hours of dentist time and look at this reward. All my rowdy friends are here giving out fives! I thank you. It may not really be the best, Krum but I do appreciate the sentiment. I never gave a thought to the pretzels being the rim salt either, michael! I do love you guys, my friends who can always make me feel better, even after a trip to the dentist!
