How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375℉.
  • Spray 13x9 inch metal baking pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl combine dry ingredients, save the mixed fruits.
  • In another bowl combine wet ingredients.
  • Add wet to dry ingredients mixing well. Stir in mixed fruits.
  • Spread into prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle remaining oats on top.
  • Bake 19 to 22 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it (Do not over bake). Cool completely. Cut into bars.

    I just made these and I love this recipe:) Easy to put together, and quite delicious..I used dried figs, that's all I had in the dried fruit dept, the taste reminded me of a really good fig newton! I used a glass pan as well..no problem there! Very nice recipe Points..more in Sunshine Fruit Bars

    I used pineapple, papaya, mango, raisin and apricot. But you can use whatever dried mixed fruit you like.

    These bars are cake-like. Cool completely before cutting or the bars will want to tear up.
