This taste just as good or better than any beef salisbury steak I have had. Saucey and flavorful. Great with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients
  • 1lb. ground turkey
  • 1 envelope(half a 2.2-oz. pkg) beefy onion soup mix
  • 2Tbs worcestershire sauce
  • 2tsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic,minced
  • 1Tbs butter
  • 2c sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2c chicken broth
  • 1/4c dry red wine or chicken broth
  • 1/4c tomato paste

Directions
  1. Combine turkey,2Tbs of soup mix and 1 Tbs worcerstershire sauce;mix well. Shape in 4 oval patties about 1/2" thick
  2. In skillet,cook patties in hot oil over medium-high heat 3 mins or till browned;turning once Remove;set aside. In hot skillet,cook garlic in butter 30 seconds. Add mushrooms. cook and stir 5 mins or till tender. Add broth wine,tomato paste and remaining worcestershire sauce and soup mix. Stir,scraping up browned bits. Return patties to skillet;spoon sauce over.
  3. Cover and cook over med-low heat for 8 mins or till patties are 160 degrees. Serve with mashed potatoes.

Thank you, PleClare! this sounds lovely and full of flavor. Will try it on the King of my Heart, and cross my fingers!!! (beef higher in calories, yucky taste, my opinion) He loves beef, and is not to eat much for medical reasons, but I guess he is also the king of da nile!!

I love beef salisbury so I will just have to make this next week. Great post, love the wine in the gravy, probably will be a little wine in a glass while cooking. Cheers, JJ>


Yummmmmyyy!! I cannot wait to try it out! I may have this for tomorrow's dinner, as I do have a package of ground turkey in my frige that I was just wondering what to do with! Thank you!!!
