Ingredients
  • 1 fresh bushell of asparagus with 1/2 inch cut from the base
  • 1 tablespoon of real bacon bits
  • dash salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium shallot
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese

Directions
  1. In a medium skillet sautee butter and shallots for about 30 seconds.
  2. Add asparagus, bacon bits, salt and pepper.
  3. Cover and continue cooking for 10 minutes
  4. Remove from heat and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  5. Serve immediately

This looks delicious! I love cooking asparagus in a saute pan with butter, a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar...can also be roasted in the oven. Gonna try your combo next!
