Very interesting information. I am going to give this a try - we have one with a very sensitive stomach and the kids always ask what they can do for their stomach ache. All the claims of the concoction make me think of a snake oil salesman.
What about the cinnamon? Most all cinnamon sold in the U.S. is not real cinnamon. It's a look-alike cinnamon. Sort of like imitation vanilla vs. pure vanilla extract.

From my understanding and since I am an Rn and speaking with various Md's there are many attributes to honey and cinnamon.
You have a valid point and it's like anything else with food. Buy the local and fresh ingredients.
Try organic and health food stores instead of supermarket brands
Many of our medicines have derived from plant sources and herbs and it is known fact that plants and herbs may be potent.
Scientists are still studing and trying to find the plant cures and secrets of the Rain Forest.
I am one that trys to find a blalance in conventional medicine and alternative choices.
I truly beleive there are many cures in the natural world not dicovered yet.
