How to make it

  • In a large stock pan, fry bacon till crispy. Add onion and garlic in with bacon and grease and stir till caramelized, add cabbage immediately. Stir continuously for about 10 minutes. Add salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika. Cover, lower heat and continue cooking for 20 minutes stirring occasionally.

    Made this for supper, did not have garlic or onion powder, but it was very tasty without.I did not add salt, bacon to me has enough salt.It has a great flavor and the cooking time was perfect.This is a lovely cabbage dish, simple and delicious.Thank you Kmsmith for the recipe. March 15/2016

    OH YUMMY!! I make this and love it with corn bread,hot sauce and ketchup on it...lol ., Hey the pic ....I have showing I just finish that for my grand son..that is 2 years old. he loves boots and cowboy things.. Really great chatting with ya..
