- 8. 1 tbsp of salt shopping list
- 9. olive oil shopping list
- 10. 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese( add more or less according to your preference) shopping list
How to make it
- Prep:
- Chop the onion and garlic farily finely
- Cooking:
- Pasta:
- 1. Boil the fetuccini in a stockpot at a med/ hi temperature until done then drain.
- Shrimp:
- 2. Sautee the shrimp in a frying pan in some olive oil and season with pinch of salt and pepper.
- 3. When the shrimp have a nice red/pinkish color add the onions and garlic into the pan so they can sautee for a minute or two to get those nice flavors out of them.
- 4. Add the stick of butter and lower the temp of the pan to a low/med setting.
- 5. Once the butter is melted add the cooking wine and let this simmer for about 5-10 minutes to let the alcohol evaporate and the flavors fully merge. Stir while simmering.
- 6. Adjust to taste with some black pepper or salt if needed.
- 7. The shrimp al ajillo are done!
- Finishing steps:
- 1. In the stckpot where you boiled and then drained the fetuccini, toss in all the shrimp with that garlic butter sauce in which they were simmering and mix with the pasta.
- 2, While doing this add the parmesan cheese in with the fetuccini and shrimp so that the cheese will partially melt and encorporate into the pasta.
- 3. You are done! serve it with some garlic bread, or take a loaf of french and slit it in half and add to it some butter, minced garlic and shredded mozarella and toss it in the oven in 350 for 10 min and enjoy!!!
