Ingredients

How to make it

  • Line a greased cookie sheet with graham crackers.
  • Boil until bubbly, one cup of butter and one cup of brown sugar.
  • Pour over crackers and bake at 400 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Sprinkle generously with your choice of toppings, the toffee chips and almonds are my favorites.
  • Cut in squares within 10 minutes or they will break and shatter when cut.

I wouldn't call it a brittle, but more like the inside of a butterfinger candy, hard to describe the texture. The butter and sugar change the graham cracker into something crisper. They will shatter if you wait to long to cut but then I use the broken pieces over ice cream and call it a special sundae. There aren't mistakes in the kitchen, just opportunities to make it into something else yummy.
