  • Garlic Pepper
  • 1 T chopped garlic
  • 1 packet dry italian dressing mix
  • 3 T grated parmesan
  • TOPPING
  • 1 large white or yellow onion, sliced thin
  • 1 tub fresh mushrooms, wiped clean and sliced
  • 1 T butter or margarine
  • EVOO
  • Worcestershire
  • Splash jack Daniels
  • 1/2 c grated swiss cheese
  • 1/2 c grated provolone cheese
  • GARLIC HERB MAYO
  • 1/2 C mayo
  • 1 large clove garlic
  • 1/2 T lemon juice
  • zest from 1/2 lemon (1/4-1/2 t)
  • 1/2 t fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 T fresh oregano
  • 1T fresh basil
  • SERVE WITH
  • Large deli sandwich buns
  • Melted Butter
  • Thick slices tomato
  • Thick sliced pepper bacon

Directions
  1. BURGERS
  2. Preheat grill to medium heat
  3. Mix all ingredients by hand in large mixing bowl
  4. Shape into 6 large patties (leaving edges uneven helps burger to cook more evenly inside)
  5. Grill 8-12 minutes per side to desired doneness
  6. TURNING ONLY ONCE
  7. TOPPING
  8. While burgers are grilling, drizzle saute pan with evoo and add 1 T butter, worcestershire, and spalsh jack daniels, if desired
  9. Saute onions and mushrooms
  10. Fry slices of thick cut peppered bacon and crumble
  11. Mix bacon with mushrooms and onions
  12. MAYO
  13. Place mayo in a small food processor.
  14. Finely mince garlic, or press, and add to mayo.
  15. Add lemon zest then juice.
  16. Chop all herbs and add to mayo mixture.
  17. I chop everything first to assure it gets evenly chopped in the food processor. If you do it by hand, without a food processor, just finely chop everything, and make sure to press garlic so you don't get any big chunks.
  18. PUTTING IT TOGETHER
  19. Spread insides of buns with melted butter and palce on grill for a couple of minutes, until lightly browned
  20. Top each burger while on the grill with onion/mushroom/bacon mixture, then each type of cheese
  21. Spread buns with mayo, top with burger and big slice of tomato
