Best Darn Hot Dog Sauce Ever Recipe

Best Darn Hot Dog Sauce Ever Recipe
This recipe is actually "top secret" from a famous hot dog place where I live. Back in the 50's, my grandfather's brother managed to get it.

Ingredients
  • 3 pounds good quality ground beef
  • Diced onions, how many really depends on how much you like onions.
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 3 teaspoons chilli powder
  • salt
  • pepper
  • water
  • HUNGARIAN paprika...MUST USE HUNGARIAN, it makes a BIG difference.

Directions
  1. Brown the ground beef with the oil.
  2. When meat is browned, add onions, cayenne pepper, chilli powder, paprika, some salt and a bit of pepper.
  3. Add just enough water to make it a sauce.
  4. Serve over your favorite hot dogs and in a good bun. The hot dogs can be boiled or grilled, but Hebrew National are great either way.

I think I am confused (not uncommon for me)...where does the paprika go?
