Ingredients
  • 6 pork ribs
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 small jar of prepared pasta sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • ½ cup of beef stock or water
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced

Directions
  1. Mix together the pasta sauce, garlic, beef stock or water, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce, set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil on medium heat, brown the ribs on all sides and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté the onion and bell pepper until they are soft. Add the ribs and pasta sauce mixture to the pan, cover and simmer for 1-2 hours, until tender.

Thanks for sharing, it does sound very good! When I saw the recipe, I immediately thought of the small racks of ribs I used to buy from the Winn Dixie deli - man, those were good too! Those and the german chocolate cake...sadly, the WD I shopped at for years closed, as did all in 'my neck of Texas'...this is a great post...five forks!

Sorry donman, my H does all the bbq'ing and as far as I can tell, he has never figured out how to do it right. He puts all the stuff on first and blames the bbq for when everything comes out burnt on the outside and raw on the bones. well, maybe one day he will listen...

I was a wondering.Could I use garlic powder stead of using cloves of garlic?
