I like the idea of using the sauce for marinade. But boil the marinade for a full minute before reducing to a simmer.

...And now I can say I love the taste of this one! I made it tonight and I couldn't stop eating it! The only change I made was to use boneless, skinless, chicken cutltes, instead of thighs. I cut them into long strips, to resemble ribs! I also used 3 cloves of garlic instead of 1 because I LOVE garlic! This tasted exactly like the sauce from the chicken and broccoli that I get from my favorite Chinese restaurant! Next time I'll serve it with broccoli and white rice! Perfect! I hope you like my photo! If not feel free to remove it! Thanks for this great recipe!

Oops I didn't use the oil or the cornstarch and tablespoon of water. Just the marinade and chicken.

I made this recipe and it's really really good. I didn't add the oil and threw everything in a ziploc over night then baked them but that's more because I'm cooking lazy than anything else. It really was delicious though I'm sure it's better the original way. I just wanted to stop by and thank you for submitting the recipe. I've made it 2 or 3 times and I'm sure I'll make it many more times. Thanks again!
