Grilled Salmon Brazilian Style
From rhianna 14 years agoIngredients
- 1-1/2 lbs. salmon fillet, with skin & no scales shopping list
- 1-1/3 Tblsp. medium-coarse sea salt shopping list
- Optional: lemon wedges, for serving shopping list
How to make it
- Heat barbecue grill to medium heat.
- If salt is very coarse, use a mortar & pestle to make it medium coarse.
- Sprinkle salt evenly on both sides of the salmon. (One Tblsp. salt is the absolute minimum needed; 1-1/3 Tblsp. is our usual quantity.)
- Place salmon over medium heat of the grill. Actual cooking time will vary depending on thickness of the salmon, how hot the coals are, & how far the fish is from the coals. Each side will take at least 5 minutes. Cook until the fish flakes & the color is opaque consistently throughout.
- The salmon is delicious as is, but it may be served with lemon wedges.
