How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Fry bacon, drain, crumble, and reserve.
  • In bacon drippings over medium high heat, cook onion until soft. Add cabbage, salt and pepper, Riesling, and bacon. Cook for 5 minutes, and spoon into a baking dish.
  • Cut butter into cubes, and stuff chicken with butter and rosemary. Place on cabbage and roast. After 30 minutes, baste with pan juices every 15 minutes, until the thickest part of the breast registers 160.

    The cabbage and onions must have a wonderful flavor with the chicken roasting on top of the mixture. Another great recipe! :D
