A different take on a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. Great when you are in a time crunch, or for game day. Serve with french fries, potato salad, chips or coleslaw.

Ingredients
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 green and/or red bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 (18 ounce) package frozen fully cooked turkey meatballs, thawed (or homemade)
  • Provolone, mozzarella or white American cheese
  • 6 French rolls, split
  • ketchup or barbecue sauce (optional)
  • Sliced black olives (optional)

Directions
  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet ntil hot. Add peppers and onions; season with black pepper & saute for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the meatballs; cover and cook 13-14 minutes, or unti the meatballs are heated through and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add cheese to the mixture and let it melt in with the vegetables and meatballs.
  4. Spoon into French rolls, top with ketchup or BBQ sauce, and sprinkle with sliced black olives (if desired).
