This is fantastic macaroni and cheese! All the cheeses go so well together! I used my own homemade Italian bread crumbs, and like usual, I would like to try this with panko as well, and throwing in a little pepper jack too, cause I love the stuff in mac and cheese! Tomatoes were a nice addition, I enjoyed it, but the family said they could do without....anyway, very good! It's a keeper :)

I love the pictures! I don't think I've ever seen tomatoes in a macaroni and cheese. One nice thing about the tomatoes on top is you could take them off if someone didn't want them. Nice!

I've only made homemade mac n' cheese a couple of times ever. When I was a teen I had a friend whose Mom put canned tomatoes in her mac n' cheese and it was so awesome. I've never had any as good since. Great pics Michelle.

That was my first time hearing about and trying tomatoes in mac and cheese too! I liked it but it seems like any addition in mac n cheese is a good one to me :)

It's a good mac & cheese albeit some grainieness(sp). Probably the Parmesan.
It has a definite Italian flavor going on. I used home made crumbs Italian Bread Crumbs and doubled the recipe amount because a quarter cup just didn't seem enough.
Mother liked it, even the tomatoes. She usually likes her tomatoes cold but took this one warm and had a second helping.

I find that pretty much every mac and cheese I put in my oven is a little grainy..so now I just try and look past it I guess. I grate all my own cheese so don't see why it happens. It doesn't really seem to bother us though, since it's so minor. This one I did enjoy a lot though. Did you like the tomatoes in this PSO? I did but my family did not.

Yes, tomatoes were good. Only drawback is they were store bought. I grated everything 'cept the Parmesan. It was that powder grated store bought stuff. I cheaped-out in that respect. Might have been OK if I grated that too.
