Good Morning Everyone! I am off work today to go have my kidney stone blasted. Supposedly the procedure takes an hour and then they keep me there 4-5 hours in recovery just to make sure no problems arise. Not the most fun way to spend a day but I will be pleased to have this taken care of. Plus I get the sympathy vote so am going to grab take-out for dinner. LOL! Have a great day everyone!

    Good Morning All!
Janet,I have a friend who had lots of problems with that because of a bum thyroig. She had the thyroid removed and just had her last stone blasted. I wish you good luck and once it is over you can rest and relax. Let us know how you are.
We are having Honey Glazed Cornish Hens with leftover maple sweet potatoes and glazed buttercup squash.
    Have a good day!

Ya, it'd be great if they could figure out what was causing mine to form and then I wouldn't have to go through this all the time. Can I come to your house for dinner after Pat? It sounds waaayyyy better than Take-Out plus I was eyeing up that squash recipe and I loovvveeeee Cornish Game Hens! Thanks for the thoughts.

MMMMM Sweet Potatoes! I love them but we don't make them that often. It sounds like a great meal.
Hope the kidney stone procedure works out well and that you recover quickly - my thoughts are with you.
We will do a ground beef and baked beans crockpot "thing" and have it over kaiser rolls since I will just get home from work and then have to be at another meeting in the evening.
    Have a great day everyone!

Okay, you are all making me hungry! Argh! I can't eat anything before the procedure and I'm really a breakfast person! LOL! Pat, your Cornish Game Hen recipe looks amazing. You mention dried fruit bits. Do you use like that stuff that you put in Christmas cake? The little bits of dried cherries and things that you buy at the store? Post that Baked Beans and Ground Beef Crockpot Michelle. It sounds yummy! Your dinner sounds awesome Laurie as do your left-overs Points. Food....food....I want food!

Janet, hope you do well with the procedure! That is not fun. One of the girls I work with has a problem with kidney stones too. I think hers is related to too much caffeine. Seems that all we want is food when we can't have it, huh?
Let us know how you are. Will be thinking of you.
Michelle that sounds like a good dinner you are having!
Laurie I love me some cheesy french fries!
    Hey Pat, how's it going?
Point when you get through with your yard can you do mine? lol No such thing as "through" is there?
Some of the non-special chicken in the grill tonite. lol Marinating it in Italian Dressing to see if that helps. Spinach salad, and some kind of tater.
Finally got the pix of the grandboys up on fb last night.
Hope everyone has a great day!!

If it was a standard size yard I would be pleased to help you out. There are trees aplenty on this acreage that haven't been whacked back since they were seeds. It will be a lot easier getting the mower and tractor in and around them once they are properly pruned for maintenance around the trunks.
Next project will be putting down landscape fabric and mulch to keep the grass and weeds from growing up so close to the trees that will also do some property beautification.

Shoved some tuna noodle casserole in my pie hole and ready for my afternoon nap.

Good luck Janet. My hubby's brother just had it done. He feels so much better. Take it easy when you get home. Relax and kick your feet up.
Your Cornish Game Hens sound delish Pat. Haven't made those for a long time - will be checking them out at the store.
Yes Michelle - if you have a chance, post your hamburger/bean crock pot recipe. Sounds good.
Laurie - how is Becca doing? Is her neck and weight better? Cheesy french fries sound great.
Tuna noodle and pear crisp sound great P7O. Those are 2 comfort foods. All your projects sound great. Wish we would get a break in the weather to be able to do some. I poured all night last night.
Lori your dinner sounds good. How do you make your spinach salad? I love those.
Tacos at our house tonight Wynne! So easy and satisfying.
Have a good day everyone and take care Janet!

Val, I have a spinach salad with warm bacon dressing that I like to use. It's easy easy. I don't have any feta, so the cheese is just gonna be out of whatever bag of shredded cheese I have in the fridge. lol Probably colby jack.

Becca is doing much better thanks. The cheese fries are just baked french fries with a sprinkle of Nacho Cheese popcorn topping on them. Its Gluten free and it just gives the fries a little kick without the calories or fat.

Hey everybody! Feeling mostly alive this afternoon. Have been sleeping a lot! Really am trying to get to where I feel good enough to go to open house for Karma tonight. Think I have finally kicked the migraine that has been hanging on for the last 4 days. Pulled muscle is much better than it was and I am very thankful that I am lucky enough to be able to sleep through the healing. I know a lot of people don't have that opportunity.
Good luck with your procedure Janet! Just looked at your cabbage roll recipe. Looks like a perfect one for me.
I just found out about an hour ago my sis has to go back into surgery in the morning. Not healing up right and in too much pain. I feel so bad for her. Could hear in her voice she was trying not to cry. :( As much as I hate to I have to give her boyfriend a ton of credit. He has been taking good care of her through all of this.

Will be leftovers for dinner tonight. Cabbage rolls tomorrow, I believe!

Hello all. Hope you procedure went well Janet and you are finally getting to enjoy some good eats.

Mr. SuchAFuss insisted on steak last night so I'll be trotting out the fish again tonight. Tonight or gone I guess. I'm making it regardless of what he is eating. I think I'll spread some of the chipotle aioli on it then use Keni's technique of only crumbing on side to avoid soggy bottom syndrome.

Gave the trees another pugilistic pounding this evening with my polished pruners. Trees are taking shape. Hehehehe.

Lots of limbs to take up the next couple of days and haul them to the brush fire pile.

There we are...home safe and sound and minus one kidney stone. Wasn't bad at all. They sent me home with a bottle of Tylenol 3's so I'm good to go.
I love the sound of the dried cranberries, apricots and raisins in the Cornish Hens Pat. I'm so going to make that dish! Good picture of you in your Avatar. Looks like a lovely day!
Your Tacos sound yummy Wynne and Val as does your Chicken and spinach salad Lori. Warm Bacon Onion dressing....oooooooo....yum...We went out for Indian Food. Had Butter chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Rice, Naan Bread and a very bland, bland dahl recipe that we won't order again.
Yes Windy...lithotripsy is the name of the procedure I had done. Ultrasound shock waves. They gave me a general anesthetic and it was no problemo.
So sorry you haven't been feeling so well lately Ang. Love the new Avatar. What's his name? Is it a his? Hope your sister gets this cleared up so she's no longer in pain. Thoughts are with you. Hope you do try the cabbage rolls. They're very yummy. Comfort food.
Just for the record, I had to look up what MUAH means. I've seen you guys use it before but didn't know what you were talking about. That's cute.
"Soggy bottom Syndrome"...ha-ha...that's a good one Laura.
"A Pugilistic Pounding with Polished Pruners"....say that three times fast! Hey Points!
Thanks for all of your good wishes today everyone. I'm off to the easy chair with a glass of wine to watch the Ottawa Senators first Pre-Season Game of the 2010/11 Hockey Season. Bring it on! Go Sens Go! (We are playing the dastadly Toronto Maple Leafs....BBBoooooooooo)

I made a quick salsa with some white nectarine, tomatoe, fresh jalapeno, red onion and topped that on the rice. The Fish came out great and even Mr. SuchAFuss ate it even though his Mom sent over some chili rellnos. Those are for tomorrow.

Points you are a hoot. But I'm hearing you on that pruning. I've hinted loudly for some new pruners for my birthday. Mine fell apart about a month ago. They were the ones I got after the hurricanes so they had a lot of mileage on them. If not gifted will have to go out as I have pruning left over here too.
