a place to just chat about the recipes...anyone's welcome to start new threads, too, of course, just trying to keep the actual Swap thread cleaned up so we can keep track of everything :)

but, yes....and I just answered you over there, too....once you pick up someone else's drop of your own... you don't have to wait til you make it, AND, more than one person is welcome to pick up a recipe AND submit their own...

y'all gotta help me get Jim over here.... he's an honorary member, anyway, cus his recipe is the one that started us off, but he still needs to be present! hehehehe

Am I correct in assuming that krums recipe and the sour apple pucker recipe are the two to choose from?? Opps!! glad I didn't click submit by accident before catching my spelling error on pucker. That recipe would have taken on a whole new
meaning.... ;-)~~ and no way to erase it.... LOL

funny, Jim...yeah, the idea is you pick up someone else's recipe to try and drop one of your own in the list...

Lillian added yours that she made, then dropped off her own...cmn added one of mine that he made, and dropped off one of his...

as Lillian said, more than one person can make the same dish, no problem...it's not a competition, just a way to have fun trying other recipes, and getting ours tried :)

once we have enough people, I'd like to try and keep it all within the group, if we can... but I encourage y'all to invite anyone you want to come over !:)

I think we're just trying to stick to the 'Recipe Swap Main Dish Thread'...for picking up and dropping off recipes and 'Recipe Swap Reviews'...to talk about the recipe we made. Much easier that way! I think the original idea was to have a sweet and savory thread, just two categories, but that didn't work out so well :)

the idea is the same as in The Refugees, mommyluvs, these folks just are a lil more flighty than the Refugees, maybe...hehehehe

Got a great group, already...LOVE seein' more "faces"...and hope it just keeps growing

I'm "back", jules, sorry....and mommyluvs, I saw that you made one of my Chef of the Day creations...that's awesome, thank you! :) :) hehehe

Yeah, I think the original idea was if you pick up a dessert in the dessert thread, leave a dessert in the dessert thread, and same for main dish. But, I think the one thread for recipe pick-up/drop-off and one thread for reviews will work much better.

One thing that might be confusing some is that we seem to have a member that joined without reading/understanding the group intention, and is posting recipes to the group as they post them to the site, without picking up one and dropping off another...

I also liked the idea of a weekly update on what's up for grabs. That way new people that haven't been following before, can easily figure it out. Or if someone hasn't stopped by the group for a while drops by, they could just check that list and know what's being offered.
