Most people that grew up in my hometown will tell you they loved these as kids. I was so glad to find a recipe in an old community recipe book - my son will love them, too!

Ingredients
- 6 cups cornflakes
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup clear Karo, or other light corn syrup (actually Blackburn syrup tastes the best, if you can find it)
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1-1/4 cup smooth peanut butter (or to taste)
Directions
- Pour cornflakes into a big bowl.
- Combine sugar and syrup. Heat on low, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted.
- Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla.
- Add peanut butter and stir well.
- Pour mixture over cornflakes and stir gently until well coated.
- Spread in baking pan (13x9 for thinner pieces, 8x8 for thicker).
- When completely cool, cut into squares.

These are sooooo good - we like to frost ours with a melted Hershey's bar or melted milk chocolate chips, too. You have to taste these to see how good they are!!
