Hot Crab Meat Salad

This is one of my favorites of my Aunt's recipes
Ingredients
- White sauce: shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 2/3 cup flour shopping list
- 2 2/3 cups milk shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- crab mixture: shopping list
- 3+ cups crab meat shopping list
- 2 cups finely chopped celery shopping list
- 1/4 cup(half of one) green pepper chopped shopping list
- 3/4 cup blanched, slivered almonds shopping list
- 4 hard cooked eggs, chopped or sliced shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons pimento (option) shopping list
- buttered bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
- Make a white sauce.
- Cook the white sauce for 5 minutes then add 3 or more cups crab meat.
- Add to the crab meat mixture the celery, green pepper, blanch almonds, chopped eggs,and pimento.
- Pour all into greased casserole or baking dish and cover with buttered crumbs.
- Heat at 350 for 35 minutes.
- Serve hot on lettuce leaf.
