CHEESY PITA CRISPS

- Ingredients: shopping list
- 2 whole wheat pita breads ( 6-inches ) shopping list
- ¼ cup reduced-fat margarine, melted shopping list
- ½ tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- ½ tsp. onion powder shopping list
- ¼ tsp. salt shopping list
- ¼ tsp. pepper shopping list
- 3 Tbs. Grated parmesan cheese, reduced-fat shopping list
- ½ cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Split each pita bread into two rounds. Cut each round into four triangles; place inside side up on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
- Preheat oven at 400 F.
- In a bowl, combine the margarine, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper; stir in the Parmesan cheese. Spread over triangles. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 400 F. for 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 8 servings.

- Note: I have modified the original recipe to a Diabetic Friendly one.
