How to make it

  • Split each pita bread into two rounds. Cut each round into four triangles; place inside side up on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  • Preheat oven at 400 F.
  • In a bowl, combine the margarine, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper; stir in the Parmesan cheese. Spread over triangles. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 400 F. for 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 8 servings.

  • Nutritional Values: Serving size is 2 triangles, Calories per serving: 95, Fat: 5g, Cholesterol: 6mg,
  • Sodium: 264mg, Carbohydrates: 9g, Fiber: 1g, Protein: 4g.
  • Diabetic Exchanges: 1 fat, ½ starch.
  • Note: I have modified the original recipe to a Diabetic Friendly one.
