Naan Bread-crazy's Way

- 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast shopping list
- 1 cup warm water shopping list
- 3 tbsp milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 4 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic (optional) shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter, melted shopping list
- parsley to garnish shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand about 10 minutes, until frothy. Stir in sugar, milk, egg, salt, and enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead for 6 to 8 minutes on a lightly floured surface, or until smooth. Place dough in a well oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and set aside to rise. Let it rise 1 hour, until the dough has doubled in volume.
- Punch down dough, and knead in garlic.
- now, preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- now, make small balls out of dough about the size of a golf ball.this will make about 10 balls.
- roll out the small balls in to think, 1 inch dough. put it on the baking tray and bake for 8 minutes or until lightly browned from the bottom.
- garnish half naans with parsley and half with butter!
- serve hot with dips, curry, or eat it plain!
