Bacon & Jalapeno Mac-n-cheese

- 10.5 oz elbow noodles shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 6 oz processed cheese, cubed shopping list
- 1 cup Mexican blend cheese shopping list
- 4 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- 3 strips bacon shopping list
- 1 jalapeno pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/4 cup cojita cheese shopping list
How to make it
- 1.In pan fry bacon until done. Remove and let cool, crumble into small peices.
- 2.Follow directions on package to cook macaroni. Once done drain water and return macaroni to pan.
- 3.Add milk, 3 tablespoons butter, cheeses', and spices to pan. Cook on low heat.
- 4.In seperate pan heat 1 tablespoon butter. Remove stem and seeds from jalapeno. Add to pan and saute until tender. Remove from heat and set a side.
- 5.Heat oven to 350 degrees. Once all cheese is melted in macaroni remove from heat. Place 6 ramekins onto baking sheet, divide macaroni between the ramekins. Top each with jalapeno and bacon peices. In a bowl combine bread crumbs and cojita cheese. Sprinkle mixture over each of the ramekins. Bake in oven for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool before serving.
