Baked Pub Style Shrimp
From frankieanne 12 years agoIngredients
- 1 lb. medium shrimp, peeled, with the tails left on, deveined and rinsed shopping list
- 1 cup all purpose flour* shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- 3/4 cup light beer shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375F. Coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and cayenne pepper. Pour beer into flour mixture and whisk until combined.
- Holding the shrimp by the tail, dip them into the batter, completely coating each shrimp. Place shrimp about 4” apart on prepared baking sheet. (Use additional baking sheets, if needed.) Batter will puddle around shrimp.
- Bake 12 to 14 minutes, or until coating is golden and bread-like.
- *You can substitute the all purpose flour, baking powder and salt for self rising flour, if you prefer.
