- You can adjust this to any cut of chicken shopping list
- and approximate measurements for 2 people. shopping list
- You can also adjust the spices to you liking. This is not laid in stone by any means at all! shopping list
- 4 large chicken thighs cleaned and skin removed. shopping list
- 2 cups milk soured. buttermilk is even better for soaking if you have some. shopping list
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups panko crumbs ( I am just guessing I did not measure) shopping list
- 1 to 3 tablespoons of AP flour shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley (dried if you don't have fresh) shopping list
- 1 tablespoon of paprika shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional) shopping list
- 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped dill (because I had some) Optional shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chile powder shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 2 or more tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (Optional) shopping list
- 2 to 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- Spraying oil like Pam shopping list
- 2 sheets of aluminum foil shopping list
- butter to dot the top shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat Oven to 350F
- Please read all directions before starting any recipe it really does help:)
- 1. In a bowl the size which will accommodate the chicken and milk. Place the chicken in and pour the soured milk over the top of the chicken covering it the best you can. Let sit for as long as you can the longer the better but a half an hour will do.
- 2. In another larger bowl or a bag would be easier. Place the Panko crumbs, flour, parsley, paprika, cayenne pepper, dill (optional), garlic powder, onion power, chili powder and Parmesan cheese if using. Then just mix this together with your hands or shake the bag until it is mixed thoroughly.
- 3. Take out a baking sheet and cover it with aluminum foil one way and another sheet the other way giving enough foil to wrap the chicken up with one sheet. The other sheet is just a precaution and if it doesn't get dirty it can be used again. Spray the top sheet in the center with Pam cooking spray or any other similar brand.
- 3. After the chicken has soaked in the sour milk. Remove one thigh with a fork and put it in the crumb mixture. Making sure all parts of the chicken are covered and pat and push in extra crumbs into cracks as necessary. Roll it over in the mixture a few times. If using the bag method add chicken to the bag and shake well until coated.
- 4. Place piece of coated chicken on the foil and continue coating the rest rest of the chicken the same way until you are done. When all the chicken is coated. Take a pat of butter and put a pat on top of each chicken piece. Wrap the chicken up completely in foil like a package using both sheets. Place in the oven on the center rack for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove the chicken and turn the oven up to 375 F. Open up the package and check the chicken to see if it is done by inserting a knife and removing it from the chicken. If juices run clear it is done. Fold back the foil so you can see all the chicken. If the crumbs are not browning brush the top of the chicken with some melted butter.
- 5. Place it back into the oven allowing the chicken to be exposed to direct heat for another 10 to 15 minutes or so until golden brown and the crumbs looking crispy.
- OR
- **NOTE or Other step 5. If you want to speed this process up put your oven on Broil instead of 475 F and watch the chicken closely until it becomes golden brown on top. Be careful not to let it burn.
- Remove and serve hot. Easy clean up just throw out the foil. Enjoy:)

This was really delicious and nice and crispy. I loved the foil clean up. I had three drumsticks and two thighs in the freezer to use up and I left the skin on all of them. It was super moist! Added my picture. Thank you! A bit more here
