Ingredients

How to make it

  • Boil water for pasta.
  • Meanwhile in medium heavy sauce pan, melt butter and add onion.
  • Cook about 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring often, until onions start to get tender.
  • Add garlic and cook another 3 minutes.
  • Add corn starch and stir well to coat with the butter, to create a roux consistency.
  • Slowly add cream and stir until incorporated.
  • Add mushrooms and increase heat slightly to bring contents to a boil then immediately reduce heat back down to medium low.
  • Add pasta to boiling water and cook per directions and let the mushrooms cook in the cream.
  • Add cheese, hot sauce pepper and salt(if needed), and stir until completely melted.
  • Drain pasta and serve with the sauce.

    I also made for Keni's Cooking Day 2016. This was fabulous! I used fresh cheese ravioli. It was rich and creamy and delicious!! Served it with a nice salad and garlic bread. Was easy to make, but the results tasted like you'd slaved all day. Just one of those meals you want to slowly savor. Thanks to Keni for the legacy of great food!

    Made for Keni Cooking Day 1/30/16 - This is a high quality recipe. Simple ingredients, not hard to make, but tastes like restaurant quality. I purchased fresh portobello striped ravioli, which were perfect with this. Husband was just as pleased as I was with this dish. If you believe in romantic food- this seems like it would be on the list. Nice for date night.
