Spaghetti Pie

- 6 oz angel hair spaghetti shopping list
- 2 tbsp butter shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1 cup Ricotta shopping list
- 1/2 onion chopped shopping list
- 1/2 bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1-2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 1 lb ground chicken or turkey breast shopping list
- 1 8 oz can diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp basil shopping list
- 1/4 tsp thyme shopping list
- Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste (I DON'T use very much salt, and I don't measure, so use to taste) shopping list
- 1/2 cup Mozzarella, shredded shopping list
How to make it
- Cook spaghetti, drain. Stir the butter into the hot spaghetti, add the Parmesan and eggs, mix well. Form spaghetti mixture into a crust by pressing into an oil sprayed 10 inch deep dish pie plate going up the sides as well. Spread with Ricotta. Cook ground meat in a skillet over med heat until browned, add onion, bell pepper & garlic, cook until meat is cooked throughly. Add undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, basil, thyme & just a little salt & pepper to taste (taste after adding s&p, you won't need very much at all, don't over do it!),..cook for approximately 8-10 minutes, while stirring, until heated through. Spoon meat mixture into spaghetti crust and bake 20-25 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Top with Mozzarella, bake another 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
- *****NOTE: If meat sauce seems a little thick, you can add a small amount of water to the sauce...not too much!
