This is a home made Grand Marnier recipe.... It belongs to my daughter in laws family in Canada... Ive never made this so I dont know how many servings it has..

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 26 oz bottle of brandy
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 quart jar with lid

Directions
  1. Jar must have tight fitting lid.
  2. Pour into jar the brandy.
  3. Add sugar and dissolve.
  4. Wash orange very well, prick all over with a fork.
  5. Thread a string through the orange; suspend orange in the jar above liquid.
  6. Dont let orange touch liquid.
  7. Each day for 5 days twist jar for 5 minutes.
  8. At the end of 5 days replace orange and repeat for 3 days.
  9. Remove orange and let sit for 2 days.
  10. At the end of the 2 days pour into bottles.

I needed grand marnier in a recipe. I went to the store and found that it was almost 40.00 per bottle. I still haven't made that recipe but it looks to be a little less expensive now. Thanks for sharing.
