How to make it

  • Scald milk add butter.
  • Add all ingredients except peanut butter.
  • Pour into greased cookie sheet with edge.
  • Bake pre-heated 350 for 25 minutes.
  • Spread peanut butter on cake refrigerate.
  • Melt chocolate can melt with butter or I prefer with extra peanut butter or butter just little then it spreads little easier.

    I made these the other day and every time I looked in the fridge, there was another row gone.LOL:o) They were so good. My daughter commented on how unusual they were with the soft yet chewy cake on the bottom and the hard crunch of the chocolate coating on top and the surprise creamy peanut butter in between. Will be making these again and again. Thanks again.

    Have printed this off and am having palpitations as I do so,& trying to control drool factor,LOL. In other words, sounds to die for! Will make tonite and let you know how it goes. Is it a jelly roll pan you use? Thanks for the post.

    Oh thank you so much..my husband is from south Jersey..20 min. away from Philly. Me being an Idaho girl. most of my life , had never heard of Tasty Kakes..well..in 1988 I was introduced to them when I went back east to meet my husband ( boyfriend at the time)family. I love them! My husband loves them but they do not sell them in Idaho. WHen we go back east for a visit its Tasty kakes..and Duncan Donuts! My hubby will be thrilled with these. Thanks again for sharing! Michelle

    Tasty Kakes are a new 'thang' for me...I really like them, but bet this is better...I'm really hooked on the Funny Bones by Drake, though...lol
