January 7/16 Family loved this recipe. I used whole wheat bread in place of white and half and half since I did not have any whipping cream. There none left. Thank you Lor for this wonderful recipe.

I have a question about adding the beaten eggs separately instead of tempering them in the milk. Is it "eggy" or does it come together like a custard? Does the bread separate into another layer?

Oh my gosh. I tried this recipe about a week ago and forgot to tell you how good it was. It was so good that people asked for seconds and then it was gone :( I couldn't believe how popular it was and I'm going to make it again for sure. Thanks so much for a great recipe Lor.

Ohhhhh, I love bread pudding too! My mom often made a brandy sauce for her flaming Christmas pudding and I wish I had the recipe for it. I'm sure that would be delicious with it as well. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2004 and many of her personal posessions were taken by greedy individuals. Well, I do remember and memories are sweet ;-)
