Italian meatloaf

- 2-1/2 pounds lean ground beef shopping list
- Two links Johnson italian sausage, about ½ Pound remove casing. shopping list
- Three eggs large shopping list
- One 5.5 ounce can tomato juice. shopping list
- One five oz can evaporated milk. shopping list
- 1 cup Progresso Italian style bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 cup chopped celery shopping list
- 3/4 cup green bell pepper and shopping list
- 3/4 cup chopped fresh basil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon each: black pepper -season salt-garlic powder-Italians seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 cup shredded fresh parmesan cheese shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1/2 cup ketchup-1/2 cup brown sugar, packed - 1 teaspoon brown mustard shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven 400°line A 13X9-inch baking dish with foil
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well. I use my hands. Shape meat in the prepared pan into a long loaf shape; pour on topping. Bake uncovered 1 hour. Don't overcook... It will dry your meat loaf out. Allow meatloaf to rest 30 minutes before slicing.
- Topping:
- Whisk topping ingredients together in a small bowl. Pour over meatloaf and then bake
