This apple pie can be played with - the recipe is a guideline. Just mix the batter, pour it into the pie shell, and then cut up apples and mix them into the batter to your satisfaction. It is really wonderful comfort food.

I just made this tonight and it was delicious! I made it just as stated with a little less sugar because my apples were so sweet. It's really easy and smells terrific! I did sub allspice for nutmeg though. Excellent recipe Borinda!! I added a pic - hope you don't mind.
