That is one gorgeous cake, how did you do the top with the little waves in it???

Hi Henrie,Thanks for yr comment. I did something called 'marbling'. It's quite easy, but very effective in appearance. You need to pipe thin, parallel lines of coloured cream from a baggie. Then gently drag a cocktail stick (adjacent, if the word is correct) to create a drag like effect. This can be done in one or both directions. Not sure if it makes sense. I saw it in a picture many moons ago, and loved it instantly.

Hi Vindee.. I cook at all different hours. I am caregiver for my Mamma and Pappa who live with us and my husband is disabled; so I am awake at all hours of the day and night. I also cook for a sort of meals on wheels so don't be surprised at the hours you hear from me. This site helps me keep my sanity. i had just bought a very fresh pineapple and was all awake so I made it....not as fancy tho and almost fell asleep in the icing LOL but it was picked up today for a woman in the semior rehab center who is 101 today...so you did great posting it...Thanks again.Like I said it looked not quite as fancy but I put a lot of love in it and they will save some for my little family here so I will get a taste. Just wanted to explain. You make great 'stuff' .. thanks.
