Thanks, I haven't had "real" mac and cheese since I was a kid.

Good recipe, and am like you...I like the spark that white pepper gives to dishes, and I always use more black pepper!

It's in the oven right now, smells great, family is lurking in the kitchen. I didn't add the tomato slices, but the recipe was easy to prepare. Thanks

Everyone loved the Mac & Cheese, tasty and the way I remember it! Thank so much, I have white pepper on my list! Oh, have to tell you, my grandaughter saw stuff (parsley) sprinkled on top, when I told her what it was, she informed me she didn't like it. I conviced her to try it, she had seconds and told me the top was her favorite part!

Going to try this tonight. I grew up on the kraft blue box stuff, and I've always thought it to be the best stuff in the world, I hope this changes my taste buds -=)

Sounds wonderful! I often make macaroni and cheese with a can of tomatoes stirred in but this sounds even better with the fresh tomato slices!

I guess yu dont have to put on tomato and parsley, right?
