Bacon Vodka Recipe

Ingredients

1 large sterile mason jar

5-6 strips of cooked bacon, drained and patted dry

1 bottle of premium vodka

Directions

Add bacon to the mason jar and fill with Vodka. Let the bacon steep in the Vodka for a few days in the refrigerator. After the Vodka is infused with bacony goodness, remove the bacon, cover the jar with cheese cloth, secure it and strain the Vodka into another sterilized jar.

The Double Down, a dive bar in Vegas has bacon vodka available in a "bacon maritni". Since bacon is a breakfast food, I had to have one for breakfast when I was there. The breakfast of champions!

The website also had a recipe for the bacon martini: Lightly mist martini glass with vermouth, and rim the edge with bacon grease. In a cocktail shaker, mix 3 oz vodka, one dash Tobasco, and one dash olive juice. Strain into cocktail glass. Skim excess grease from top and garnish with one slice of bacon
