I like to make these buttermilk pancakes the night before and by doing so the batter seems to improve. Get up the next morning, give the mixture a quick stir and your set to go.

I had to print this out and make for tomorrow morning - if I can get to the store to pick up some buttermilk! I love the idea of having the batter all ready in the morning...great post, and thank you!

Sunset had an overnight pancake batter I used to use and love...and we all liked it a lot...but I am out of the habit of making breakfast for a few years now...no little child any more. Good of you to share this because I remember the aged batter was really wonderful!

Sunday morning rush for church just got easier! Great to be able to make it the nite before. I'd add blueberries,(plop them on after you put the batter on the griddle) and top with lemon sauce! Yum-o. Thanks!

My DH was very happy for the all ready batter in the fridge waiting for him to make some yummy pancakes.(He's the Sunday morning cook). We did add the blueberries and I made some lemon sauce and they were outstanding. This one is a 5 and a keeper!

Made these for my sleep-til-noon teens today, and did the egg separated thingy, 'cause it was spur of the moment. They turned out fabulous and fluffy. Gave son lesson on pancakes101. He watched me make the batter, and then he cooked them up. We'll be using this again and again. TY
