Perfect for tonights Sunday dinner. I served this with a green salad and cornbread stuffing on the side. It reminded me of Summer time and picnics, something I don't think of often in the middle of winter.

  • 4 pork chops, bone-in
  • ½ tsp each steak seasoning, garlic salt, garlic powder, and pepper
  • 10 pearl onions, peeled
  • 1 tbsp evoo
  • 1 (12-ounce) bottle DARK beer
  • 2 cups Bar-B-Que sauce

Directions
  1. Heat the evoo a skillet, one large enough to fit the chops with a lid.
  2. Season the chops with all the seasonings and place in skillet to brown, 8-10 minutes total.
  3. Remove the chops from the skillet, lower to heat to low and add the beer, deglaze pan, cook for 2 minutes. Add the Bar-B-Que sauce to the skillet.
  4. Return the chops to the pan and add the onions.
  5. Cover and simmer for 1 to 1 ½ hours. Remove cover for the last 15 minutes of cooking to help with the glaze.
  6. *for Bar-B-Que sauce I mixed ½ bottle Bar-B-Que sauce, 2 tsp hot sauce, 1/8 cup A1 steak sauce, 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce, and 1/8 cup brown sugar.

Sounds really really good. I think I'll try it this week :)

This looks really good! The sides you mentioned sound perfect. Thanks for the BBQ sauce recipe, too.

I haven't really cooked with beer because I'm not really a beer drinker...but I am going to have to try this recipe. It looks (and sounds) absolutely scrumptiouse!

Wow, I love pork chops, and this sounds great! Thanks

I tried this last night and it was super, the pork chops stayed moist and you can't taste the beer, but it give a special taste to the BBQ sauce, I used Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and it was great, and didn't have pearl onions, sliced a small onion and added it to the pan when I put the sauce in. Yum Yum
P.S. I used smokey paprika to the seasoning, worked super
Thanks for this post, it will be a regular, I'm going to try it with chicken next.
Janet

I'd eat all 4 chops...and then 4 more!
