How to make it

  • iN A SKILLET, COOK BACON UNTIL CRISP. REMOVE BACON AND CRUMBLE INTO PIECES, SAVING THE DRIPPINGS. IN DRIPPING OVER MEDIUM-LOW HEAT, COOK RICE AND ONION UNTIL RICE IS BROWNED AND ONION IS SOFT, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. ADD V8 JUICE AND GREEN PEPPER. REDUCE HEAT HEAT TO LOW AND COVER. SIMMER 20 - 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL RICE IS TENDER AND LIQUID IS ABSORBED, STIR FREQUENTLY. ADD BACON. STIR THEN SERVE WARM.

    It sounded great, buy I didn't like the taste when I cooked it. Waaay too much V8 juice. If I would make this again, I would use half the V8. I was quite disappointed. It would be great to hear from those who actually tried this receipe.
