My family always loved this quick easy pasta....

Ingredients
- ¼ cup Butter or Margarine, softened
- 2 Tablespoon dried Parsley Flakes
- 1 Teaspoon dried Basil, crushed
- 18 oz. package softened Cream Cheese
- 1/8 Teaspoon Pepper
- 2/3 Cup Boiling Water
- 8-12 oz. Fettuccini or Dumpling Noodles
- 2 Cloves Garlic, finely minced
- ¼ Cup Butter or Margarine, softened
- ¾ Cups Romano or Parmesan Cheese, grated
- Parsley (garnish)
Directions
- Cheese Sauce: combine ¼ cup butter, parsley and basil; Blend in cream cheese and pepper; stir in boiling water and blend well.
- Keep warm over a pan of hot water.
- Cook noodles in a large amount of salted, boiling water, just till tender, drain.
- Cook garlic in ¼ cup butter, pour over noodles; toss again.
- Add cream sauce and the rest of the cheese, blend well.
- You may garnish with parsley if desired

I use almost the same stuff,I like throwing in mushrooms too. Great post, people should throw away thier NOODLE-RONI.Its not so hard to make it homemade.:)

This sounds a lot like Noodles Romanoff from Stouffers. My Mom used to buy it at the store. I can't find it around here anymore, but your homemade version sounds way better any way. Thanks for the great post. MJ
